The best time to visit the Maasai Mara is July to October when the Great Wildebeest Migration crosses the Mara River — one of nature's most spectacular events. However, the Mara offers excellent Big Five game viewing year-round. January to March is also excellent with fewer crowds and lower prices.
Our Kenya safari packages start from USD 1,115 per person for a 3-day Maasai Mara safari. Prices vary based on duration, accommodation level, group size, and destinations. All our safaris are tailor-made — contact us for a custom quote.
Kenya is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino) plus cheetah, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, hippo, crocodile, and over 1,000 bird species. The Maasai Mara is the best place for big cats. Amboseli is famous for large elephant herds with Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. Samburu has unique northern species including Grevy's zebra and reticulated giraffe.

You can reach the Maasai Mara by road (5–6 hours from Nairobi) or by scheduled/charter flight to Mara airstrips (45 minutes). Safari Yetu arranges both options depending on your preference and budget.
Kenya's major safari destinations — Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu, Diani Beach and Nairobi's national parks — are safe and well-established tourist areas visited by hundreds of thousands of travellers each year. Our guides are experienced and knowledgeable about all safety protocols.
Pack neutral-coloured clothing (khaki, olive, beige), a light fleece for early morning game drives, sunscreen, insect repellent, a wide-brimmed hat, binoculars, and a camera with a zoom lens. Avoid bright colours and white. We send a full packing list with every booking.
Most nationalities can obtain a Kenya e-Visa online at evisa.go.ke before travel. The process takes 2–3 business days and costs USD 50 for most nationalities. We can advise on visa requirements for your specific nationality.
